SUCCESS STORIES

Tomas Riese from VirginGrip

»We sat in the pub and thought making climbing holds is easy. That's how it started. I can now say: It's not easy at all.«

Without Tomas Riese from VirginGrip, we at ebalta, who are experts in mould and tool making, would never have had the idea of getting involved in the climbing market.
Tomas followed his passion for climbing and helped us into this market with his professional thinking.
Together with him, we developed and realised the idea of the ‘allHolds’ network of smaller and independent climbing hold manufacturers. ebalta successfully developed duranity from the interaction with the members of the network.
Thanks to the inspired co-operation of all those involved, his company VirginGrip has now grown enormously and become a player to be taken seriously on the international market.

»The most important aspect of a climbing hold is the ability to resist or a long time in the very busy climbing gym.«

»What I really like about duranity is the fact that it's ecologial as it uses 40 % renewable materials. This brings something really special to our company.«

»A climbing hold is good when people open the box, take the holds in their hands and think "wow, I love to set a route with it".«
